As a seasoned Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, my career has been molded by an in-depth understanding of familial dynamics and the significance of nurturing connections. My educational journey at Texas A & M ingrained in me the importance of community and shared experiences, shaping my approach to counseling. Drawing from my background as a pastor's child and integrating the shared values of faith and storytelling, I guide families toward establishing meaningful rituals and practices that strengthen relationships and enhance well-being. My dedication to multidisciplinary collaboration has been honed through my work with organizations like MHMR of Polk County, equipping me to adeptly liaise with educational institutions, childcare services, and legal systems for the benefit of my clients.

Beyond the theoretical foundations of my practice, my hands-on experience in high-stakes environments, such as children's residential treatment centers, has imbued me with the skills necessary to navigate complex and emotionally charged scenarios. My passion for supporting families has only deepened with time, fueling my continued professional growth in areas like trauma-informed care and court-involved client services. As I share my knowledge and insights through the Acorn Parenting Course, every lesson is infused with this same fervor and commitment to fostering resilience and healing within the family unit. My aim is to not only educate but to empower parents by bridging the gap between clinical expertise and the intimate understanding of their unique familial narratives.
